Discovering Unity

Course of Weekly Evening or Day Classes, and the Two Year modular Programme

The Discovering Unity Evening Course runs over seven weeks. We meet for two hours each week, with ongoing reading, practice and contemplation during the week. This course is on offer all over the world. The classes are run by alumni of the Beshara School and form an introduction and basic foundation to the unitive perspective and its implications for our lives.

The course combines theory and practice, group investigation and private contemplation, to uncover some of the profound meanings entailed in being human.

The premise is the ultimate unity of all existence. Its development reflects this unity as it reveals itself by degrees in our everyday experience, as light and love, knowledge and beauty. The course is a journey of self-enquiry and discovery of the unified whole that is our human nature.

Some of the themes explored: beginner's mind; the place of knowledge; being and consciousness; unity and diversity; perspectives; the places of the human being and experience; relationships to ourselves, others, the earth, reality; recognising and freeing ourselves from habit; love and beauty; service.

The school also offers a Two Year Modular Programme which runs over two years, consisting of three 2-week residential retreat modules, and twelve 6-week home study modules. It is a deep exploration of the themes for people committed to integrating the themes, consequences and perspective of unity into their every day lives. The next course will run from 2015 to 2017, with residential modules in Indonesia and at Chisholme.
