Volunteering

As a volunteer at Chisholme you are appreciated for who you are, not only for what you do.

Work opportunities vary, depending upon the time of year and the school's programme. You might find yourself learning to build the garden wall, plant bulbs in autumn, help prepare a feast, cut and stack timber for firewood, clear snow, put up a barn....

Volunteers and WWOOFers are a vital part of life at Chisholme. The School could not have been built, nor now be maintained without the support of many dedicated volunteers.

Volunteer weeks are held throughout the summer. Whilst here, you are also welcome to take part in   study, meditation and other activites the school offers.

Local volunteers can come on a non-residential basis.

There are at times job vacancies and openings for longer-term volunteers (which include free board and lodging). See here....

Financial contributions:
Volunteer Weeks
: a recommended donation of £70 for the week is asked for (£42 for students). This will help to pay for some of the basic costs of your stay including accommodation, instruction in new skills, all food, tea, coffee and laundry etc. Additional funding comes from our Volunteer Fund.

Concessions: If you are unable to pay or cannot pay the whole amount, then please do not hesitate to write to the secretary@chisholme.org, to discuss your circumstances.
