An exploration of facets of the conflict inherent to adherence to universal norms (such as religion and morality) on the one hand, and ’the way things are’ on the other, as they are presented in two passages in Ibn ‘Arabi’s Fusus al-Hikam. A three-hour session, comprising a presentation (which includes film clips), a reading of the passages concerned and a discussion.
A seminar and discussion led by Avi Abadi
Avi Abadi has been a student of the work of Ibn ‘Arabi for many years and has directed courses at the Beshara School at Chisholme House, Scotland.
