Reflections with Rumi

The afternoon will start with a short introduction to Rumi's teaching and significance today.
Spirituality has been moving in a universal direction for several decades, and Rumi is seen as one of the forerunners of this trend.
An ever-increasing number of people are finding their essence through themselves, without the need for complex belief structures and mediation.
It is now widely accepted that there are connections between the different wisdom traditions and the underlying unity that they all express.

In order to bring these inspiring ideas into our lives as everyday facts, far-sighted people like Rumi offer an inclusive approach.
We will read a short selection of Rumi's poems, explore together their meanings for each of us, and discuss how we can begin to practice them.

Led by Peter Yiangou
Peter has long been a student of the Beshara School and has facilitated courses around the world. He has recently led a Discovering Unity course in Bristol and is developing further courses. He is the senior partner of a successful architectural practice in the Cotswolds.
