The Reading of Sufi Stories, with Muriel Maufroy

In her second talk in Bristol, Muriel Maufroy will explore the tradition of Sufi teaching stories.

She says of this subject: "Where do Sufi stories come from and where can we find them? Apart from being wonderfully entertaining, Sufi stories have an inner content not always obvious at first. How should we approach them in order to benefit from them?"


Muriel is the author of the best-selling book Rumi's Daughter, which has been translated into nine languages. She has also written Breathing Truth, a book of quotations of Rumi, and recently, The Garden of Hafez. Details can be found on her website: www.murielmaufroy.co.uk.
