THE BESHARA TRUST:  Three autumn seminars

We shall be delving into the meaning of the central proposition of the Kernel of the Kernel:

“Whatever may happen the man of wisdom is not caught up in one definite belief because he is wise unto himself.” by Muhyiddin Ibn ’Arabi, Kernel of the Kernel.

The theme to be explored this autumn comes from a paper by Osman Fazli* that tells us that

We do not possess anything else but our sensibilities as our real organ of intelligence”

We will explore this theme contemplatively and experientially using relevant texts, poetry and conversation to explore the implications for ourselves and our lives and the richness of “being” it points to.

Each seminar stands individually; the series also has a continuing theme which has the intention of developing together a quality of discussion and conversation reflecting the meanings intended.

*Osman Fazli was a friend and teacher to Ismail Hakki Bursevi who translated the Kernel of the Kernel.

With Javida Bowers and other students of the Beshara School.

Saturday, September 13th, from 2-5 pm
