Is Rumi a benchmark for contemporary spirituality? 

A presentation and open discussion, facilitated by Peter Yiangou.

The event will start with a short talk looking at how Rumi's universal teaching is influencing many different areas of contemporary spirituality. What is it about his perspective that allows it to extend seamlessly from its traditional sufi setting into contemporary thought?

The setting will be informal with opportunities for discussion and reading extracts from Rumi's work. The aim is to see that we can each find the truths that Rumi exposes in our own being and experience.

Peter Yiangou is  the senior partner of an architectural practice in the UK. Peter and his wife Alison have been involved with the Beshara School since its inception. They also facilitate weekend events and courses at their home in Gloustershire, UK.

The event will be held at the home of Jack & Henri Metcalf
